Extensive research proves that kids do like nonfiction. As a matter of fact, research shows that about 50% of the students in our classrooms actually prefer nonfiction. Lex Anne Seifert and Debra Marshall, both certified librarians with extensive knowledge of and experience with nonfiction, will review the 5 Kinds of Nonfiction developed by Melissa Stewart and provide ideas for curating nonfiction that kids will love to read. Booktalks and a listing of nonfiction resources will be included in the presentation. Come learn how you can invorigate your nonfiction collection!
