About me
My name is Kat Angell (aka Mrs. Angell) and this is my 3rd year as a librarian at Parkhill Junior High in Richardson ISD!
I grew up going to schools in RISD, and coming back to teach here has been the absolute best. I went off to Texas State University for my undergrad (Go Bobcats!) and majored in Interdisciplinary Studies with an ESL certification. Afterwards, I moved back to Dallas and started working as a classroom teacher at Northrich Elementary & Richardson Heights Elementary. I was in the elementary world for 8 years, teaching both 3rd and 4th grade. During that time I got my Master's in Library Science from TWU--Go Pioneers!
My experience with elementary students has helped me so much in the junior high level, and the best part is that I get to see a lot of my former students come through the secondary schools and grow up! I have to say, that junior high is my favorite age group to ever work with...sounds crazy, but it's true!
