With over 20 years of experience in education, Jennifer Sancedio-Boatman has dedicated the majority of those years to inspiring young minds as an elementary school librarian. Her career has been marked by a commitment to enhancing the educational environment and ensuring equitable access to resources for all students. As a former President of the Dallas Association of School Librarians, Jennifer has been a leading advocate for not only innovative library practices, but working with decision makers and fellow librarians to ensure that school libraries are professionally staffed, accessible, collaborative, and engaging for all stakeholders.
One of her most notable achievements was serving as the most recent Project Manager for Project READ in Dallas ISD. In this role, Jennifer led the transformation of 84 school libraries into modern, flexible learning spaces. These refreshed libraries now feature STEM and technology-rich zones, providing students with hands-on learning opportunities and preparing them for future careers in a rapidly evolving world.
Jennifer is deeply passionate about equipping students with the resources they need to thrive. She is dedicated to ensuring that every student has access to print, digital, and STEM tools that will empower them to excel in their future endeavors, including careers that have yet to be imagined. Now being part of the STEMfinity team, she aims to share that passion more widely by not only curating resources for student use, creativity and imagination, but instilling in educators the comfort level and confidence to integrate these resources seamlessly into their teaching practice.
